Sex toys are such a great thing for both people who are single as well as in relationships – they can bring you some solo fun or spice up your bedroom life. Some of the newer and fancier ones can even let you play long distance or have some short-term long distance hookups by both having play, text chat and even video chat! In this pandemic time when distance is sometimes still key, this can have some added benefits.

The Ferri by Lovense checks all of these boxes with a sleek design, a fantastic app, long distance play and even the ability to go outside and have some naughty fun. Keep reading for some condensed Pros and Cons that this toy has.

By sending a special link to a person on the other end, and setting the time they have control, they get to have the reigns of the toy and have you saying “oh my god”. Not only can you have them control the toy, but you can have them chat via text or video – and don’t worry, they can’t save anything but you can if you choose to.

And, for some added fun you can upload or download vibration patterns from the Lovense app that gives you some hands off exciting play!

Vibration

Now, lets get on to the good stuff, what is the vibration like? This is definitely a bit more of a buzzy toy and the highest level, while it goes quite high it definitely doesn’t go as powerful as some other toys out there that you can get for a cheaper price, although those ones weren’t hands free.

It can be a little bit tricky to find exactly where you want it places and the shape is a little strange and I’m still not sure how that adds to the overall pleasure – but it does a decent job! I think the draw here is is the fact that you can choose almost an infinite amount of patterns, especially if you make your own or download someone else’s. It’s exciting because you don’t know what is coming and that adds to the fun.

But the vibration itself isn’t exactly mind-blowing. If you’re looking for more of the range and ability to have it move around vibration wise, then this is great. But if you need something powerful then this may not be your ticket.

Noise

This toy definitely is a little bit louder but it wasn’t as loud as I was expecting based on some of the reviews. If you play with it under the covers pretty much no one can hear it unless you’re in a super quiet place. Up to the medium level you probably can use it in public without a worry of being heard as well – although I haven’t tried this yet.

But this toy does have the added benefit of having an ability to stop it going above a certain level to stop it from getting too loud. However, while on paper that sounds good, it honestly doesn’t seem to be of much use as if you limit it too much you certainly won’t get the power from the toy.

Price

It is a bit more expensive, retailed at $119 but it is usually on sale to something like $99 (wait a few days or weeks if it is not because that’s worth it). I know that sounds like a lot, and it can be, but I truly believe in good quality toys. Not only do they last longer but they are safer. They are coming in contact with the most intimate parts of you and you want it to be safe.

Do I think it is worth the price? So far, yes! The app is great, the toy is good, it’s fun, it has a strong magnet to hold it in place so no fear of it moving, and it charges well.

The App

So you do have to make an account with the app which people can be iffy about but I just went for it. Apps are much more secure now a days and with some recent court cases, they are getting good about privacy in the past few years. And especially with a company like Lovense that a lot of cam models use, they need to be good. They also have a clear privacy page.

There definitely were some bugs or quirks with the app when it would be odd with connecting but overall it was good. You can set a pin for your toy to add extra security and peace of mind, you can control your data, and it’s easy to use.

You do need the app though to get the full extent out from the toy though. While the toy does work without the app, getting to the button is difficult and it is very basic – you can get a bullet vibrator for way cheaper to do the same job. So to get the bells and whistles you need the app.

The app lets you control it yourself, use other peoples pre-recorded sessions, play music and have it correspond to that or go by ambient noise in the room (the latter to I have not tried yet). You also can easily stop/pause the playing with no lag time – so if you hear someone coming you don’t need to scramble – if you phone is locked you can pause it like you would music and it does it almost instantaneously!

Sum Up

Overall the toy is really good! It’s sleek, charges quickly, has a great battery life of a few hours, and overall I’m pretty happy with it so far!

Pros

1. It’s compact and can easily be carried around as you want it to.

2. It allows for public discreet play if you want to get naughty.

3. Long distance play that you can control – done with your partner? You can remove their access immediately

4. Really useful app that keeps it exciting.

5. Really great battery life to give you a lot of fun and have you say “oh yes” many times.

Cons

1. It is a bit more expensive.

2. Can be a little bit more on the loud side.

3. Long distance play features aren’t perfect (but nothing is so not sure if this is a con).

However, if you’re looking for some good fun, or if you want to do that good stuff online and get a little extra money, this is a great option.
