Why You Should Masturbate

Even to this day in the 21st century, there’s a lot of taboo surrounding masturbation.

But this post today is here to tell you one thing…

You should masturbate.

Don’t worry, now I am going to justify why I said that.

It is useful to understand yourself.

You can’t have sex with another person and be able to communicate what works or what does not if you don’t know yourself. This is a great way to explore yourself and different positions, see what you enjoy, see what your body can comfortably do and handle so you can do well with a partner.

It manages stress.

You get happy chemicals running around your brain and so that can counter some of the nasty ones that you have in your head from a stressful day at work or just life in general.

It will help you sleep better.

If you do this before you sleep, you’ll most likely knock right out which is amazing. But as it also helps with stress, if you feel stressed and struggle to get to sleep, this will help you relax and maybe sleep really well for once.

It’s safe.

You can’t get pregnant from masturbation (for women) and you can’t get an STD in general so it’s a win win. You get the fun of sex but without any of the concerns. What’s better than that?

Men, it can help with avoiding prostate cancer.

Some studies have shown that regular masturbation (I don’t mean crazy amounts, but off and on) can help to lower your risk of prostate cancer. I’m not a doctor so I don’t know the in’s and outs of that, so do a quick google search to learn more!

Women, it helps avoid getting a UTI or general infection.

In a way it helps flush out what’s inside your body. You can’t exactly wash deep inside yourself when you’re showering very safely so just use what your body made. As you self-lubricate you will get rid of bacteria. Just make sure if you’re using a toy that it’s all clean for every use.

I’ll also say this too. Women, you will not become ‘lose’ if you masturbate too much. That doesn’t happen. Your bodies are built to give birth and they return to normal so don’t panic. If you’re ever super worried, you can see a doctor or do Kegel exercises which have other great benefits.
